So. It's time for a bit of a coffee break. I met someone on the steps

earlier today and sort of ~~thought he was Maitimo and hugged the shit out of this stranger~~ and we got to talking about things and I sort of think I freaked him a little

Fingon: I uh...*sort of laughing a little* Geez, I'm sorry. From behind you look like...well never mind. Are you all right?

Theo: *relaxes instantly* oh, much better now that I know what's going on. *still clutching his notebook, though* Do you mean Theodred? You can tell us apart because I've got the long hair

Fingon: Oh I uh..Maedhros actually. *laughs* But wow it'ss good to know there's another redhead around besides you. I don't want to sneak hug him too

Theo: *flattered* I look like an elf? *grins* Thanks. *trying not to think that it's one of Feanor's sons*

Fingon: you're very pretty *nodding*

Theo: *moving towards Fingon without realizing it, liking the flattery* Really?

Fingon: Oh quite. *smiles* red hair is striking.

Theo: *beaming smile* Thank you. You're very handsome yourself. I mean, all elves are. But you are too. Um. Yes.

Fingon: Well thank you. *smiles, pleased at the compliment*

Theo: *seizes the moment* Would you like to come have coffee with me?

Fingon: Only if you'll let me buy it after all of this

Theo: That sounds acceptable. *little cheery bounce without realizing it. Still thinking of Feanor and all, but thinks he should, you know, socialize more with elves for learning*

Fingon: *grins and offers his arm* then I hve to do this right. If you'd like....

Theo: *takes his arm and gets down off the step, having to look up now*

But now we're going to coffee so that I can make things up to him. He seems to be very nice and has lovely hair so that's a good start, right?

So you're on a surprise hugging basis with Maedhros?

Well, kind of. Best friend privileges and all. But it's good to meet someone else to hug...I mean. *laughs* Sorry. That just slipped out there. So you're with the guard? How is that going?

Oh. Well. *tugs his braid awkwardly at the hug bit* Well, yeah, I'm a guard. It's fun! In a walking around a lot and sometimes being attacked by wargs way.

Well, two wargs. There isn't exactly a plague of them, but all it takes is a few to make you wary of anything going 'pop' into the air. The day after my first warg, I heard the noise and was halfway up a tree for safety when I realized it was a mouse that had appeared.

I didn't kill it so if there's a vermin problem now I am SO sorry.

Wargs, really? *leaning forward a little* That sounds serious. You must have done really well against them.

And the mouse...well. I don't notice any problems with vermin. I'd probably have done the same. *smiles and sips coffee*

*sips his own coffee quickly, then hisses as he burns himself*

Well, still. That's kind of awesome and all. I admire what the guards are doing here, especially those of you from other places. You don't have to help us you know, but you..

*Frowns at the hissing and leans over to look at Theo's hand*

Oh geez, are you okay?! Maybe if I blow on it?

*reminds himself that this is Theo, not Maitimo and not to take advantage of him because he looks that way. *

Okay, I guess I can't really blow on that. *thinking about Maedhros and how to NOT be attracted to him and that someone not Maedhros but who looks like him could be a good idea* In public.

Huh? Oh! *red again and just covers his face this time* Ignore this. I'm genetically deficient.

I know better things to do than blow on it, though.
