Done with Maglor, Turgon? Try again.

Maglor: *pulls on his cloak and admonishes Elrond and Elros to be good before going to meet Turgon. But since he is leaving them with Maedhros, sure this won't be an issue*

Elros: *has matches*

Turgon: *pacing in his rooms and planing his speech to Idril3*
Turgon: 'It's just that I cannot keep you separated from the possible crimes your insane family might commit and that is a--
Turgon: Idril3, does conflict of interest sound good?

Idril3: *wuff*

Maglor: *knocks*

Turgon: *whips around* Come in!

Maglor: *comes in, closing the door behind him* Hey. Ready to go?

Turgon: We can't see each other because it's a conflict of interest. Your father may burn down my city because there's a second silmaril and you'll be upset when I pubicly execute Celegorm wait no ignore that last part.

Idril3: *happy 'Maglor!' dance*

Maglor: .........What?

Turgon: Your idiot brother found a second silmaril and hasn't told you father and it's all going to end in flames and I can't keep you in a bubble.

Maglor: I know about the silmaril, and father. I don't see how that has me in a bubble or what that has to do with us. *baffled enough to be ignoring Idril3*

Idril3: *heartbreak*

Turgon: It would be a conflict of interest.

Maglor: *bends to scritch Idril3 belatedly when he whines* A conflict of interest? Turgon, if you're having second thoughts, just come out and say it...

Turgon: Mng. It's what I'm saying. I'm not having second thoughts. I want to... do things with you. *tries to banish mental spectre of Elenwë* But your brother. And your father. And the silmaril.

Maglor: *frowns* If you want to, then why are you trying so hard to have a reason not to?

Turgon: I...
Turgon: Um.
Turgon: Are you going to side with them to burn down my city if they start a war?

Maglor: You've got it wrong. Celegorm doesn't want to burn your city down. Or start a war.

Turgon: What about Fëanor? *stepping closer to Maglor*

Maglor: I'm not going to make the same mistakes twice. *or at least, will try valiantly not to*
Maglor: I'm going to dinner. Are you coming?

Turgon: Yes. Okay.
Turgon: *grabs his coat* Be good, Idril3.

Maglor: Good. *pats Idril3 goodbye*

Turgon: *distracted with the thing he wanted to show Maglor before he had a crisis* It's an Easterling human coat. Look at the sleeves.

Idril3: *happy hand lick*

Maglor: That actually looks reasonably respectable!

Turgon: *beams*

Maglor: *casually* How did you find out about the jewel?

Turgon: I'm the king. I know everything.

Maglor: *walks toward the restaurant where they originally planned to have dinner* Of course... *holds the door*

Turgon: Thank you. *walks through* You probably guessed the source anyway.

Maglor: *slight smile* Yes. Have you had curry before?

Turgon: *shakes his head* Me and Lio sort of fell down on our goal to try all the new foods in the city.

Maglor: Ah, well. I hope you like it then.

Turgon: I hope so too. I did a terrible job of breaking up just now, didn't I.

Maglor: *slow grin* Rather.

Turgon: Oh well. No loss. *toys with his fork*

Maglor: *orders wine* Indeed. Lucky you.

Turgon: I think I made most of my plans while drunk on brandy, anyway. Finrod's good for that. Getting drunk, I mean.

Maglor: *chuckles* Oh is he? So you were drunk when you planned breaking up with me?

Turgon: No, that was when I was talking to Lio, and then I went and finalized it with alcohol and Finrod who I think was mostly just interested in the alcohol.
Turgon: He was explaining to me that I had to make choices about you and the rest of your family.

Maglor: *arches an eyebrow* Bit rich, from Lio.

Turgon: Well, that was his point. That he made them about Celegorm.

Maglor: *points out* He's still with Celegorm.

Turgon: Yeeeeees. And look at me, still with you.

Maglor: *smirks a little, taking a spinach pakora from the plate* I'm not letting you break up with me on account of some vague excuse based on the hypothetical.

Turgon: This won't involve me locked in a room, will it? I remember Celegorm's courting techniques in regards to Luthien.

Maglor: *ahem* No.

Turgon: Well, no rooms I don't want to be locked in at least. *just audible*

Maglor: *arches an eyebrow*

Turgon: Tell me about curry.

Maglor: It's from a country called India. Well, among places, but this kind, India. *goes on*

Turgon: *listens* Goodness, humans spread fast.

Maglor: *laughs* I suppose they do.

Turgon: What was that like? Watching a whole race blossom like that?

Maglor: *half shrug as their food arrives* Interesting. It wasn't all blossoming all the time though.

Turgon: Oh? *takes a bite* ... *takes a gulp of water* Spicy.

Maglor: *amused* Yes, it can be a bit spicy. Are you sure a history lesson is what you want? *forgetting for a moment that, wait, it's Turgon*

Turgon: Of course! I want to know what your life was like.

Maglor: *raises an eyebrow* Well, alright. *talks a little about some of the early human things - you know, when people actually traced their lineage to Elros - and a little about much later ages*

Turgon: *looking fascinated and more than a little smitten*

Maglor: Elros found a future book the other day...

Turgon: Did you read it for him?

Maglor: No, he read himself! *or looked at the pictures. not sure*

Turgon: I'm still trying to learn their alphabets. Not nice and pretty like ours.

Maglor: The English alphabet, no, but Arabic script is lovely.
Maglor: This one though, someone had transcribed into Elvish.

Turgon: Oh! Wonderful! I need to come by and have him show me his book.

Maglor: He'll like that. I'm sure Elrond will have books to show you as well. Probably several!

Turgon: Good. I want to see my little great grandkids. I'm going to have to tell Idril soon that you have them.

Maglor: Will she take it badly?

Turgon: You might have a custody battle on your hands.

Maglor: *both eyebrows raised* I sincerely hope not.

Turgon: Well, they are her grandkids.

Maglor: She'll be welcome to visit all she likes. *but they're his*

Turgon: I'm staying out of this. I'm not even going to suggest cutting them in half.

Maglor: *grins*

Turgon: Is there a non-awkward way to lean over to kiss you? Because I think I'll set my shirt on fire if I try.

Maglor: *laughs and blows out the candle on the table* There.

Turgon: *leans over to give Maglor a soft kiss*

Maglor: *kisses back*

And then there was more kissing back at the palace.
