I found Melly in the halls...
I was hoping to leave the Healing House soon. I am bored here...
Turgon: *long day, decides that its in his best interests to see his little brother and relax*
Arakano: *is bored and decides to go exploring* Maybe if I find Alagoss I will be able to convince him to let me leave...
Melkor: *in the halls again, this time seeking Arakano for candy*
Arakano: *sees the girl, hopes she doesn't run away*
Melkor: *eyes actually light up when he spots Arakano and runs over, nearly tripping over the long dress they've put him in*
Arakano: *makes to help her but stops when she doesn't fall* Hi, little one.
Melkor: *looks up* Do you have more candy?
Arakano: Yes, I have a new bag in my room. Do you want some?
Melkor: *quick nod, Eowyn took his candy*
Arakano: Come with me, then. *wonders if she ate all the first bag, but decides not to ask directly*
Melkor: *horrified when he realizes he's skipping and stops himself to walk sedately and as majestically as possible* You're walking now. Are you leaving soon?
Arakano: I hope so. I am still sick, but maybe I can come here for the medicine *blood transfusions, but the girl doesn't need to know that* What about you?
Melkor: I've been informed I cannot live on my own for some asinine reason and will be living with one of the healers, if the king *disdainful noise, having to ask an ELF for permission where to live* agrees to it.
Arakano: I am certain Turukano will agree to it. You are too small to live on your own. Do you like that healer? Is she... nice?
Melkor: she is acceptable. You know the king? *bristling at the too small remark, only starved, he feels, because he was afraid elves would see him for what he was and kick him to death*
Arakano: He is my brother.
Melkor: ...I see
Arakano: *they reach Arakano's room* Turukano is a nice king. I told you before, he will protect you if needed. *takes out the candy*
Melkor: *frowning, taking the candy* I don't need protection. These rules are ridiculous. I've always been in charge of my life.
Arakano: *nods and smiles Try not to eat all the candy so fast or you will get sick and stay here for a longer time. Eru knows I wish I were out of here already... I miss my family.
Melkor: *grumbles* Eowyn will only let me eat one at a time. And family is overrated. Trust me
Turgon: *knocks on the door*
Arakano: *hopes Eowyn doesn't get angry because he's given more candy to...* What is your name? *hears the knock at the door* Come in.
Melkor: *starts to say Melkor before realizing that's a stupid stupid idea* Melly.
Turgon: *comes in* Arakano! I'm told you're doing much better. *doesn't notice the tiny human girl*
Arakano: That's a nice name, Melly. I am Arakano. *looks up at Turgon* Brother! I'm glad you came. Look, this is Melly.
Turgon: *looks down and blinks* Huh *crouches down to look Melkor in the eye* Hello there.
Melkor: *flat, disdainful look back*
Turgon: Are you a human or a hobbit?
Melkor: *squirms and eats candy* ...I am much greater.
Turgon: Human then. You're adorable *pats her head*
Melkor: *rageface that Turgon doesn't see*
Arakano: *sees the face* Turukano, Melly is going to live with Eowyn. If you agree. It seems that Findekano found her.
Turgon: Oh! Oh yes, he told me about finding a little girl. Eowyn, hm? That's a healer I haven't met.
Melly: She says she needs your permission.
Turgon: *nods* It's an important responsibility, taking care of a child. We need to make sure you won't be abused or neglected.
Melkor: She'd never do that! She's too soft!
Arakano: *pats Melly's head hoping it calms her* I haven't met her either, but Melly needs a home. Of course it's your decision.
Turgon: I'll meet with her as soon as I can. *back to examining Melly, first human child he's seen up close and amazed at how tiny and fragile she looks*
Melkor: *hands in tiny fists*
Arakano: Melly, do you want to make some drawings?
Melkor: *immediate distraction* You've got more paper? *grins and clambers over Arakano to look*
Turgon: You'll be coming home soon, Arakano. I'm looking forward to it.
Arakano: *to Melly* Yes, and more colors too. Sit over there. *to Turgon* I'm glad. I will go crazy here. I heard Alagoss found someone else to help with the transfusions so you don't have to do it all the time.
Melkor: *happily scribbling down more orcs and carnage and ignoring the elves now*
Turgon: I wondered why I hadn't been summoned. I was always willing, Arakano.
Arakano: I know, and you did give me your blood, brother. But you could not do it every day.
Turgon: Still...
Arakano: You would get sick. That's what Alagoss said. Maybe if Findekano had come, but he must be busy so Alagoss found someone with our blood type. Either way, I need blood every day and you cannot give me blood daily.
Turgon: Maedhros showed up and I fear Fingon got a little... distracted.
Melkor: You take other peoples blood? *looked up from his drawing* You're a vampire! Like Thuringwethil! *has a 'that is so awesome!' expression*
Arakano: And he didn't know I was sick... *starts at Melly's words* No, Melly. I am sick.
Melkor: Do you have fangs? *climbs up on him to look at his mouth*
Turgon: Okay, bad, human child. *picks Melly up by the waist and puts her back with the art supplies*
Melkor: *tries to bite and can't reach*
Arakano: Melly, no! Turukano, she is just a child. *a strange child, but a child nevertheless*
Turgon: I'm just getting her off you before she opens your stitches. No spankings.
Melkor: You would not dare!
Turgon: I get no respect, not even from tiny humans
Arakano: *does feel a bit of pain* Why do you say that, brother? You do look tired.
Turgon: Ah, our cousins are arriving in droves. Some innocent, some not
Arakano: So you don't mean Uncle Arafinwë's sons, do you?
Turgon: I mean Feanor and his children.
Arakano: *frowns* I see... What do you mean some innocent and some not?
Turgon: Maedhros has come from the night they made the oath, and Caranthir hasn't even gotten that far.
Arakano: *blinks, doesn't know those names*
Turgon: Oh. *repeats the names Arakano would know*
Arakano: Moryo is here? *used to follow him around when he was little*
Turgon: All of them except Curufin and the twins.
Arakano: This can't be easy for you, brother. Is Uncle Fëanaro... sane?
Turgon: He seems to be. I'm hoping giving him a second chance won't bite me on the a-- *looks at Melly bottom*
Arakano: I hope so. It was unfortunate that Melkor... you know... Maybe Uncle Fëanaro would have stayed sane if Grandfather...
Melkor: *decides not to contribute 'he's a weak-minded fool and I'll have all his silmarils' and draws more gore into his picture*
Turgon: Well, we'll never know now.
Arakano: *nods, feels something warm on his side* Turgon, can you take Melly to her room, please? Eowyn might be looking for her.
Melkor: *yawns* I can make my own way back.
Turgon: This'll give me an opportunity to meet your caretaker, child. *reaches out to take Melkor's hand*
Melkor: *scoots against Arakano*
Arakano: I can't take you back right now, Melly... You can take the paper and pencils with you.
Melkor: ...okay. *picks it up and lets Turgon take his hand to lead him back to the human wing of the House of Healing*
Turgon: I'm so glad you're getting better, brother
Arakano: *nods and hopes Turgon goes away for a moment so he can call Alagoss*
Turgon: *leaves with Melly*
Alagoss: *sees Turgon leaving with the child, hears Arakano calling him* What's wrong? *sees the blood*
Arakano: I think some of my stitches opened. Can you patch me up really fast so Turukano doesn't notice?
Alagoss: Hardly, but let me see. *calls for a nurse to help him* What did I tell you about walking around?
Arakano: It was an accident. Melly hopped on my lap. Just tell me this doesn't mean I'll have to stay here...
Alagoss: *fixes him* We'll see...
Arakano: It was an accident!
Alagoss: Here, in the House of Healing. I can imagine you running around the city as soon as I set you free. I have to tell your brother.
Arakano: *glares at Alagoss*
Alagoss: Let me help you change.
Turgon: *long day, decides that its in his best interests to see his little brother and relax*
