So that was really weird. I'm not sure what's just happened but I seem to have agreed to work for my salvation at the behest of two ravens that I've met today.
Kak: *divebombs Dred for his sandwich*
Dred: *doesnt really notice until...whoa, crow* Uh....
Kak: *RAVEN TO THE FACE*
Dred: Uhm...hi?
Kak: your food! Give it to me!
Dred: *considers his options here. And well...it's a pretty big raven. Hands it over* *then pauses* wait. you talked.
Kak: *ignores, eating*
Dred: I mean seriously...you spoke to me? I don't know much lore. I never paid attention but...
Kak: *throws the tomatoes away*
Dred: Hey. those are actually good, you know
Kak: you can have them. *starts on the bread*
Dred: Yeah but they're kind of on the ground now. ....I'm having a conversation with a raven. What's next?
Kak: I eat things off the ground *swallows the bread*
Dred: Well....I really don't. I don't think a lot of humans do. Some might.
Kak: this is why you will all die in the apocalypse and ravens will take the earth. *prepares to take off*
Dred: wait what? More history?
Kak: I come from a world where humans are gone! Destroyed!
Dred: Seriously? *nervous face*
Kak: Heed my warnings, human! REPENT NOW! *flares out wings*
Awk: *flies in and lands on Dred's shoulder* There IS another way for the humans to save themselves, Kak!
Kak: No! Don't tell him, Awk!
Awk: *flaps* But it musst be done *little cackle* To some few of them who are worth saving
Awk: If this human can pass the challenge and find what we seek
Dred: What's that?
Awk: We seek the disks of gold and silver!
Awk:with them we may save you!
Dred: ...coins?
Awk: Coins to you. But magical things to us the great ravens!
Kak: So hand them over!
Dred: I uh...don't have very much *does have a few silvers on him* Will these do?
Awk: They could become a start to saving you. But only a start
Kak: I think this one may stand a chance. Just maybe
Awk: We can do our best if he does his
Dred: ...I get paid tomorrow. I can make contributions
Kak: *collects the silvers into the little bag that Nuala made for them that he keeps on his ankle*
Kak: we will seek you again, human. For your salvation
Dred: I will be ready *nods firmly*
Kak: godspeed, human. Godspeed. *flies away*
Awk: Remember! We will return to save you! *flies off after Kak*
I suppose I'm going to be saved now, but do I spread this news? I'm confused.
