And the murder investigation continues...
Ecthelion: *going over the details of the new crime scene*
Boromir: *finishes his report and takes it to Lio's office* I thought you might like to read this.
Ecthelion: Boromir! Yes, thank you. *takes it from him*
Boromir: I tried to make sure that all the details were covered.
Ecthelion: *skimming it* Very good. I heard you were one of the first at the scene.
Boromir: *nods* Yes. Finrod came flying in here and said he'd witnessed some Elves dropping the body so Constable Nyel and I rushed over there.
Ecthelion: *still glancing at the report* I understand you and Nyel were planning to go into the sewers, after the culprits...
Boromir: I asked her to go, but ended up going down myself. I'm glad I did because we saw a female handprint that would have likely dried had we not ventured into the sewers when we did.
Ecthelion: *nods* A female handprint, very good. Anything else?
Boromir: We noticed there is a walkway down there...well, I noticed it a bit too late. My boots were ruined. *wry smile* If you'll notice in the report, the victim's hands were arranged in an odd manner, and we found the same symbol that was at the previous locations.
Ecthelion: Sorry about your boots. *rueful grin* We need to find out what that symbol is. I want to send a couple of guards over to the House of History, to see if they can find any reference to it.
Boromir: *nods* I'll go myself and take Dred, if he's able, or Theo. They seem to know their way around better than I do.
Ecthelion: While you're there, I want you to see if you can find a map of the sewer system. And then we'll need to get a squad together and start exploring, seeing if we can find any leads to these murderers.
Boromir: I'm on it. Also...I noted it in my report, but Finrod made mention of a sacrifice. Do you know of any elvish religion that would involve sacrifices?
Ecthelion: *shakes his head* I've never heard of such a thing... I can't even imagine it.
Boromir: Me, either. But it means that anyone could be the next target. *hands Lio an updated staff schedule* I've taken the liberty of updating our roster. Most of us will need to work double shifts until the culprits are found.
Ecthelion: *takes it and looks it over* Thanks. This looks good. I appreciate it you doing it.
Boromir: Anything I can do to help, I will. *gives a curt salute*
Ecthelion: Boromir... I know you had a bit of a... disagreement with Finrod. I just want you to know, I trust your judgement and appreciate all the hard work you've put in.
Boromir: *smiles* Thank you, sir. That means a lot.
Ecthelion: Thank you again. And let me know if you find anything significant at the House of History.
Boromir: Yes, sir. *leaves*
I'm glad I have Boromir to rely on. Frees me up to go investigate the sewers…what fun. *but he heads out to look around the city*
