Turgon: Idril, no matter what he says, do not punch Lio. His stitches might open

Idril: Why would I punch him!

Aredhel: *left Mae with a babysitter*

Turgon: why did you strangle that human?

Idril: Because he was rude and disrespectful

Turgon: *waves a hand, happy to tease his daughter, and leads them off to visit Lio*

Idril: Hmph!

Aredhel: *goes in first, knocking on the door and poking her head in* Are you awake, Lio?

Ecthelion: *is, glances over* Ar! Hi!

Aredhel: *smiles and goes in to sit next to him on the bed, patting his knee gently* Hey. How are you feeling?

Turgon: Hello, Lio. I've brought my womenfolk

Idril: *waves at him* hiiiii, uncle Lio

Ecthelion: I'm okay... *but still looks tired and pale* Idril! You're finally venturing out again!

Idril: *giggles* I've been going out more! *moves closer to kiss his cheek* I'm so glad you're not dead, uncle Lio

Aredhel: *rubs Lio's leg gently* You're resting, I hope

Ecthelion: I'm rather glad of it myself.

Ecthelion: *to Ar* I am. Lots and lots of rest.

Aredhel: Good. Turu's mentioned he put you on bed rest.

Turgon: I'm a monster like that

Idril: *sits next to Lio on the other side of his bed and pats his shoulder*

Turgon: I've even appointed his interim replacement

Idril: Who?

Turgon: Your uncle Finrod

Idril: But he's supposed to be resting, too!

Turgon: he just got a burn. He'll be fine

Idril: Hmph. Don't you overwork him like you do uncle Lio, dad.

Turgon: it builds character

Aredhel: *smiles and squeezes Lio's knee*

Ecthelion: Thank you, Idril. *grins* You heard her, Turu.

Idril: You're evil, dad!

Turgon: You work so little, you think I'm overworking everyone. I should give you a job

Idril: Mean!

Ecthelion: Have you made an announcement to the Guard about Finrod yet, Turu? They are probably wondering.

Turgon: I was leaving it in Finrod's hands. Shall I?

Aredhel: I think it's best you do it, Turu. Announce Finrod so everyone knows the chain of command

Turgon: well, how can I say no? I'll do it after the visit

Ecthelion: *nods* Ar's right.

Aredhel: *smiles* See, I can make decisions. *grins at Lio*

Idril: *chatters at Lio about things*

Ecthelion: *listens happily; is very entertained and has been soooo bored*

Turgon: A healer informed me that you'll be going home with Celegorm

Ecthelion: *nods* Yes, he offered.

Aredhel: Good. Cele will take care of you

Turgon: I'll miss you. I thought your life had been saved, but I see now I celebrated too early

Idril: *wrinkles her nose* Ew, Celegorm

Ecthelion: *lightly* It's better than going home with a total stranger.

Turgon: hey, the total stranger is trained in taking care of elves that got stabbed in the gut

Idril: Which stranger?

Turgon: I was going to hire a healer to take care of your uncle

Idril: Oh. But that's better than Celegorm!

Aredhel: *sighs* Okay, no arguing about this. At least Lio is healing now

Ecthelion: Celegorm said he's had experience taking care of wounded. Anyway... you should be happy. He's going to be very strict about making me rest.

Turgon: His dog is going to jump on you and your stomach is going to rip open

Idril: o.o you can't let that happen!

Ecthelion: *sighs*

Aredhel: ...he does have a point about the dog. But I know Cele, and I know he can take care to keep Huan away from you

Ecthelion: I imagine. I don't think he would have asked me if he thought Huan would attack me.

Aredhel: Exactly. He cares about you, he's going to make sure you're safe and allowed to rest. *kisses his cheek*

Ecthelion: *smiles* I hope I don't get too bored with all this rest.

Idril: *snickers* You'll find things to do. *grins*

Ecthelion: *wags his finger at her* You hush, miss.

Idril: What!

Ecthelion: *just grins*

Aredhel: Oh Lio. *laughs and kisses his cheek*

Ecthelion: *smiles at her*

Idril: Whaaaat!

Turgon: I suppose I could have paperwork sent to you

Idril: Nuh uh! You're not making uncle Lio work

Turgon: to keep him from getting bored!

Idril: No way

Turgon: you're harsh

Ecthelion: You all can just visit me. That'll keep me happy.

Aredhel: We certainly can

Idril: *nods* I'll visit a lot

Ecthelion: Good. Make my recovery as painless as possible. *winks*

Aredhel: Certainly. *grins at him*

Turgon: I'm not sure Celegorm won't fire on me if he sees me in his home

Aredhel: Oh hush, he'll be fine

Ecthelion: Just try to get along.

Turgon: I should just bring Lio to stay with me

Aredhel: And you say you want him to rest? Hah

Turgon: how would I keep him busy! It's not like we'd be having parties

Ecthelion: Too late. Plans have been made.

Turgon: *actually pouts*

Aredhel: *pokes Turgon* Let him be, brother

Turgon: fine, fine. Let him be in bliss with Celegorm the bastard *waves a hand* see if I care

Aredhel: Thataboy. *pats his knee*

Ecthelion: *frowns and looks away*

Idril: *still wrinkly nose about Celegorm*

Turgon: just remember to stay in actual bedrest, and I *will* visit.

Ecthelion: Of course.

Aredhel: Good. I'll visit lots, too

Turgon: I'll bring food that's not just meat.

Ecthelion: *laughs* Oh Turu.

Turgon: soups and such. Nice vegetable soup

Ecthelion: Sounds good.

Turgon: good. *pats Lio's hand* and what have we learned about blocking swords?

Ecthelion: I think I just needed better armor. *grins*

Aredhel: You'd better be careful in the future, Lio

Turgon: no, the lesson is 'block with your sword, not your torso'

Ecthelion: Mmmhmm.

Turgon: your armour is fine. *a little offended at the idea he'd let his captain of the guard out with inferior armour*

Ecthelion: Well, it's just that sword slipped right through the plates.

Aredhel: We'll just be more careful in the future, right? And No More Lies or Secrets, Turu.

Turgon: well, you need the mobility. Remember the incident with the solid armour? We had elves that could barely move

Turgon: *ignores Ar's hints*

Aredhel: *pokes him hard in the arm* I mean it!

Turgon: hush, woman

Ecthelion: *doesn't really want to fight; still rather tired*

Idril: *can see that and nudges the others* We should let uncle Lio sleep

Turgon: just imagine it. A solid, plateless piece of armour and you slooowly tipping over

Turgon: oh fine

Ecthelion: *doesn't mind the company, but is not up for arguing*

Turgon: *is right, damnit*

Aredhel: *pokes Turgon again* Talk about pleasant things

Turgon: Your hair looks lovely today, Lio.

Aredhel: Much better.

Turgon: and is that perfume I smell?

Ecthelion: *tired smile*

Turgon: oh wait, that's Idril

Idril: I don't wear perfume, dad, I just smell pretty all the time

Turgon: *raises an eyebrow*

Ecthelion: You smell like roses, Idril. *grins*

Idril: *grins back* Thanks, uncle Lio!

Turgon: flattery gets you everywhere with her

Idril: Yes, well, he means it so it's okay

Turgon: Hm, true. I never mean it

Idril: You're so mean!

Turgon: Yes. I am the world's cruelest father

Idril: At least I have a loving uncle Lio

Turgon: maybe he'll adopt you

Ecthelion: I might...

Turgon: of course, then you won't be princess anymore...

Idril: ...sorry, uncle Lio. I can't NOT be princess. >.>

Turgon: that's my girl

Ecthelion: Forsaken so soon.

Turgon: you can adopt Ar.

Aredhel: *amused* If I were Idril's age, you could've kept me. *winks, teasing*

Ecthelion: Now that's a tempting offer...

Aredhel: *grins and blows him a kiss*

Turgon: I'm sure daughters have some benefits

Idril: HEY!

Ecthelion: He's so mean.

Turgon: You don't let me teach you tricks like Idril3 does

Idril: Dad, rename that dog already!

Ecthelion: You ARE rather obsessed with that name.

Turgon: it's a really good name!

Idril: Dad, new name!

Turgon: over my dead body

Ecthelion: *grins at Ar*

Aredhel: *laughs* They're so silly

Ecthelion: Crazy.

Turgon: I'm amazing and you love me

Aredhel: so silly

Turgon: *pecks her cheek, then leans over to give Lio a kiss on the cheek too, because fair's fair*

Aredhel: *smiles and kisses Turgon's cheek back* Love you, Turu

Ecthelion: *smiles*

Idril: Hey, I want a kiss, too!

Turgon: *holds her by the shoulders and kisses her forehead* beloved daughter

Idril: Much better. *grins*

Ecthelion: Everyone has made up, how wonderful.

Aredhel: *squeezes Lio's arm* It's nice, isn't it?

Ecthelion: *grins* Yes.

Turgon: you're just like family, you get to be involved with the minifights too

Ecthelion: Lucky me.

Turgon: like my second wife.

Aredhel: Poor Lio. >.>

Turgon: Lio would LOVE to be my wife

Ecthelion: >.>

Turgon: say you would. That's an order, soldier

Aredhel: Uh huh. I think Lio's about ready to kick us out

Ecthelion: Yes. I need rest. <.<

Turgon: You'll say it one day. Mark my words

Idril: Aw. *hugs Lio* Don't mind dad

Ecthelion: *yawns and hugs her back* I never do.

Turgon: no respect. *shakes his head and gives Lio a careful hug* I'll visit again soon

Ecthelion: Good. See you all soon.

Turgon: *leaves with his family*

That wasn't so bad! I do hope we didn't traumatize Lio too much. He looks a lot better than Turgon mentioned in the beginning, so I'm thankful. We'll just have to keep visiting until he's better. Maybe next time I'll bring Maeglin with me...
