gondolindrim | Take Your Kittens To Work Day

In the months since last seen, Bainil has had her kittens and Dagnir has taken them under his wing to teach them to speak, spy, and stare creepily at people.

Dagnir: *walks beside Dred and Theo on their way to work, with the kittens behind him like ducklings*

Dagnir: *meowing his opinion of the day to Dred and Theo, kittens peeping behind him*

Theo: I think he's doing take your kids to owner's work day

Dred: *Laughs* That is adorable. I'm glad none of the horses go for that

Dred: Think of the streets

Theo: I imagine if Snowmane had a foal...

Dred: Aww. Snowmane. I like him. He's always nice to me.

Dred: Maybe it's in a 'everyone else in our herd hates you, you poor pathetic human' way but

Theo: he's great. Him and Elfhild, my best friends

Dred: *grins*

Theo: so you never got a Mearas?

Dred: None of them wanted me. I tried several times.

Dred: Either I'm doomed or mine just isn't born yet

Theo: I met Snowmane because when I was trying to impress them, he went and didn't notice that a hill ended abruptly and he faceplanted. I ran up, all worried he'd broken something.

Dred: *smiles at that* That is adorable

Theo: yeah, we were equally klutzy. It seemed like a match made in heaven

Dred: My Aefre is out of Umbar, by way of Dol Amroth. She was the first to be born from one of my little projects. *laughs* She may not be one of them but so far, she has been pretty amazing.

Theo: hey, horses are good in general. And if you really love her...

Dred: She's probably my best friend as well. That is close by. Otherwise that would be Boromir.

Dred:*laughs* Quite

Theo: cooties

Dred: I promise not to give you them if YOU don't give ME elf cooties

Theo: elves are nice. Very pretty

Dred: Yes but STILL

Theo: *wipes his hand on Dred* there, those are the ones I got from Fingon

Dred: *wipes HIS hand on Theo then* and from kissing Boromir. On the couch.

Theo: nooo

Dagnir: *eyeroll*

Dred: Oh yes!

Theo: gross. Boromir all over. *heads in to get dressed up in his armour*

Dagnir: *gets on a bench and lays down, and the kittens climb on top to nap*

Dred: *snickers and goes to grab his own*

Theo: I've totally given up on acting like a father to you, just so you know

Dred: Sounds like a good idea really. It'd just be kind of weird at this point. You're my best friend now though. In this city.

Theo: thanks. I'm glad we became friends slides on his boot*

Dred: Me too *and he's doing up some buckles he can reach*

Kittens: *tiny kitten snores during all this prep*

Essam: *Wanders in and finds the kittens, and well, he WAS going to greet them but...kittens*

Dagnir: *looks a bit like Totoro with the three kittens clinging to him*

Essam: Well hello Dagnir. Are these yours? They are lovely.

Dagnir: mow

Theo: yeah, he came home with them one day

Theo: no idea

Essam: Oh good morning. *and he's kind of laughing* I...sorry. I had a cat at home.

Theo: well, if he doesn't bite you, consider it permission to play with them

Essam: I'll do that. *grins*

Dagnir: *watching him, without any real menace*

Baini: *rolls onto her back and stretches out her tiny toes*

Essam: *offers a hand out to the toes*

Baini: *presses a foot against his finger*

Essam: You are quite adorable.

Baini: meeeer

Theo: they're pretty well behaved, except when you find your pillow stuffed with them when you lay down for bed

Theo: and then the pillow gets sharp

Essam: Kitten teeth and claws *nodding* Hurt like a bitch

Theo: and then suddenly angry kittens

Theo: there was one in Dred's shoe the other day

Dred: THAT was a surprise

Theo: we had stuff to put on your foot at least

Dred: I'm just glad the kitten wasn't hurt

Theo: you have a generous soul *picks up Fiddle to scritch the top of his head*

Dred: Or I'm a sucker for a cute face. It might be some of both

Baini: *looks up at Dred and mews sweetly*

Dred: *reaches down to scritch her head* Hello, precious

Baini: *licks his fingers*

Dagnir: *stands up suddenly* mrowl

Kittens: *suddenly at attention*

Fiddle: *wiggles free of Theo*

Dagnir: *heads to the door, trailed by the three kittens in a line*

Theo: and thus, visiting hours end
