The one with the 2 most important men in my life.
I ran into Father at the market. He's acting odd...even for him.
Fëanor: *stalking the city with purpose; ignoring the startled glances and upset citizens he leaves in his wake*
Celegorm: *is walking home from the market with some ears of fresh corn and some field peas when he spies his Father* Father?
Fëanor: *inspecting the mosaic on one of the buildings; stops and straightens up* Turkafinwë!
Celegorm: *approaches Feanor and grins* What...what are you doing? *gives him a hug*
Fëanor: *hugs back* Oh, I am just.... checking things out here.
Celegorm: *eyes the mosaic* Hmm. Someone did a fine job with the tiling. I've never been much for that sort of thing...
Fëanor: It's nice, isn't it? *traces a finger over it* Seems like a place a silmaril might hide....
Celegorm: *arches an eyebrow* Perhaps, though the last one hid in your little red-haired boytoy's front yard. Maybe during your next sesson of *cough* hide-and-seek you can inspect his...lawn.
Fëanor: *gives him a LOOK*
Celegorm: *takes a step back* I'm just saying...they tend to hide in less obvious places.
Fëanor: This is true. I've just been checking the city.
Celegorm: The city. The entire city? Seriously?
Fëanor: *nods* I have time. And obviously, very strange things are happening here. If one silmaril can show up, why not the others. *has actually made a grid map of the city and is searching methodically; don't make him pull it out and show you, Celegorm*
Celegorm: I'll admit that it could happen, but the city is a very big place and the Simarils are rather small in comparison. The phrase "needle in a haystack" comes to mind.
Fëanor: Well., like I said, I have time. *is still working on weaponry, but can squeeze all this in*
Celegorm: *frowns* If you say so. By the way, how is that lightweight armor for Lio coming along? Or are you too busy studying mosaics? *grins cheekily*
Fëanor: *grins back* All finished. Do you want me to bring it by for him? Is he ready for it?
Celegorm: That would be great. I'm not sure he's quite ready for it, but it will lift his spirits to see it. And we can make sure it fits just right.
Fëanor: *nods* I can bring it by tomorrow night, if you wish. And then make adjustments as needed.
Celegorm: Sounds good. *holds up his corn* I'll save these and we can have some of the scallops I caught and roasted corn for dinner.
Fëanor: That sounds wonderful. Should I bring Theo? *is just being teasing Celegorm*
Celegorm: *scowls* Not unless I can skin him alive and serve him as dessert.
Fëanor: That's a "no" then.
Celegorm: You are correct. *eager to change the subject* Kano and I did some preliminary tracking of the cult members, but we can find little trace of them. It's as if they disappeared.
Fëanor: *frowns* I don't like the sound of that. Still.... the city has been quiet. Not restless and angry like before.
Celegorm: *fights off the urge to roll his eyes* I don't know about a restless city, but it's certainly safer now that they're gone. I just hope they stay gone.
Fëanor: Yes. How is Ecthelion, by the way? Recovering from his wounds?
Celegorm: He's doing quite well. Nearly recovered. *chews on his lip* I'm happy he is feeling better, but I will miss taking care of him. It was nice, actually.
Fëanor: *studies him; that is a rather surprising admission* Will he continue staying with you, then?
Celegorm: *nods* Yes...though he has expressed a desire for us to live in his house rather than mine. It's bigger.
Fëanor: And will you be moving then?
Celegorm: *worried look* Not right now. Not until I can find a suitable hiding spot for...well, you know. It can't stay under the floorboard if I move and I can't go digging up Lio's kitchen.
Fëanor: *considers* No, neither of those are viable possibilities.... Does Ecthelion know it's there?
Celegorm: No, of course not! He'd ask me to turn it over to Turgon, and I don't feel like that's wise.
Fëanor: *frowns* Doesn't he trust you? Don't you trust him?
Celegorm: *chews his lip again* Well, yes but...but this is the Silm we're talking about. Remember how many lives it ruined? I want it to stay safe and hidden.
Fëanor: *thinks this over and nods* I see. Perhaps I should take it and hide it.
Celegorm: Absolutely not. It's staying right where it is for now. Kano had a good idea, actually, so I think I may give it a shot.
Fëanor: Hmmm. Do you and Kano plan on telling me where it will be?
Celegorm: Once everything is in place, yes. And you need to tell me if you find another one.
Fëanor: *torn between refusing and demanding to know now, and agreeing because it's for the best; frowns, but eventually his current sanity wins out* Very well. I will.
Celegorm: *makes note of the series of odd looks in Feanor's eyes* Thanks. It's for the best, you know, keeping them secret and safe.
Fëanor: Yes. You're right. *means it when he says it, but of course, still a part of him that wants his silmarils NOW*
Celegorm: *puts a hand on Feanor's shoulder and squeezes* I should probably get back home. I'm cooking tonight and Lio gets hungry early. See you tomorrow night for dinner?
Fëanor: Yes, I will be there. I will bring a contribution to the meal.
Celegorm: *grins* As long as it's edible. *turns for home* Until then.
Fëanor: Goodbye, Turkafinwë! *goes back to his search of the city*
Celegorm: *walks back to his house, opens the door and calls out* Honey, I'm home!
Ecthelion: *laughs and calls out from the bedroom* I'm in here!
Celegorm: *stashes the veggies in the fridge and heads to the bedroom, scratching Huan's ears on the way past* Are you napping?
Ecthelion: No, no. Just going through my clothes.
Celegorm: *perches on the edge of the bed* Need any help?
Ecthelion: *folding things and putting them away* No, I was just thinking I need to go to my place and get some more things. *grins* Now that I'm not only wearing pajamas anymore.
Celegorm: *grins back* But you look cute in pajamas. I like the blue ones the best.
Ecthelion: *laughs* Be honest. You like me OUT of pajamas best.
Celegorm: *laughs* I didn't know naked was an option. Of course I like that best of all. Who wouldn't? You're spectacular.
Ecthelion: Oh, you're going to make me vain. Plus, I have that huge scar now.
Celegorm: Scars add character.
Ecthelion: *chuckles* Then I must be quite the character. *finishes with his clothes, and sits next to him on the bed, taking his hand* What did you get for dinner?
Celegorm: I got some corn and field peas. I thought we'd have the peas tonight with the leftover fish and I'll roast the corn tomorrow with the sea scallops. Oh...and I ran into Father outside the market, staring at a mosaic.
Ecthelion: Sounds delicious.... *idly rubbing his thumb over Celegorm's palm* Why in the world was he doing that?
Celegorm: *chews on his lip nervously* To be honest...he was looking for another silmaril. He thought he might find one in the mosiac, nevermind that his little boyfriend found the last one in his flowerbed.
Ecthelion: *nods; recalling how Theo found it and what a mess that was* Huh. I'm guessing he didn't have any luck? *presses closer to Celegorm, comfortingly*
Celegorm: *squeezes Lio's hand* No, not yet, but he's not going to give up until he finds one. It...it makes me nervous knowing there are more out there.
Ecthelion: Well, it's possible they're not here in the city, you know. Maybe that first one was a fluke, and he won't find the others.
Celegorm: *turns to Lio* Do you really believe that? Really? I don't think we'll get that lucky.
Ecthelion: *thoughtfully* I don't know. Things are awfully strange these days, but we've been lucky so far, haven't we? *reaches up to stroke Celegorm's cheek*
Celegorm: *smiles* I've been lucky. You...not so much. *places his hand on Lio's chest*
Ecthelion: *shakes his head* No, I've been very lucky. I mean, look at me, alive and here with you. *smiles*
Celegorm: You do have a point. *leans forward and steals a kiss* By the way, I invited Father to dinner tomorrow night. He's bringing your new armor.
Ecthelion: *quite happy to share a few kisses* Oh, well, that will be an interesting dinner. I look forward to my armor though.
Celegorm: Father is nothing if not interesting. He'll probably inspect the house for silmarils. *has a sudden thought: what if Father decides to dig up the floor?* You know? *nervous* I think the weather will be nice. I'll set up a table in the garden.
Ecthelion: *notices his nervousness* Sure, that sounds good. Don't worry, I'm sure your father will be ... entertaining, if nothing else.
Celegorm: He is that, yes. It's just that sometimes his behaviour is erratic.
Ecthelion: *frowns* .... are you worried about him?
Celegorm: A little. A lot. *brings Lio's hand up to his lips and kisses it* He's crazy, and I'm never quite sure how he will react to anything.
Ecthelion: But you don't think he's dangerous right now?
Celegorm: Dangerous? Probably not, though I can't be certain. He's highly unpredictable.
Ecthelion: Well, we'll just have to keep an eye on him then. *will see what Theo thinks as well*
Celegorm: Yeah. *squeezes Lio's hand* I hope that won't give you second thoughts about associating with the son of a crazy elf.
Ecthelion: Hey! *climbs on Celegorm's lap and kisses hard* Do I look like I'm having second thoughts?
Celegorm: *breathless after the kiss* No. Thankfully. Because I don't know what I'd do if you did...chase you down and try to change your mind?
Ecthelion: *grins* You might! Or tie me to the bed and convince me.
Celegorm: *smacks Lio's bottom playfully* Are you trying to plant ideas in my head? Because that would be awesome.
Ecthelion: *laughs* I'm all for planting ideas.
Celegorm: What sort of naughty ideas are slinking around in that mind of yours? *nibbles Lio's ear*
Ecthelion: *shivers* Oooh, I have lots of ideas.
Celegorm: Such as? *nibbles lower, along Lio's neck*
Ecthelion: Let's just start with tying me to the bed... *grins*
Celegorm: I can make that happen. *grins and picks Lio up* I can tell you've gained some weight. That's a good thing. *tosses him on the bed* I like you with some substance.
Ecthelion: *laughs at being tossed around* Well, you're a good cook*
Celegorm: I'm okay. I'm getting better. *digs the scarves out of the side table and winds them round his hands* My true talents lie elsewhere.
Ecthelion: *watching him with the scarves, flushes a little* Perhaps you'd better demonstrate them.
Celegorm: *climbs on top of Lio and sits on his thighs* Oh, I will. I'm just getting started. *grabs Lio's hands and ties them together, then wraps the scarf round the headboard spindle*
Ecthelion: *grins up at him* Good place to start.
Celegorm: *traces his fingertips along the edge of Lio's jaw, then leans down* How do you want it? Tell me.
Ecthelion: *shivers again* I want you.... to be in control. And I will just do as you say.
Celegorm: *feral grin* That's what I wanted to hear. *kisses him hungrily*
And then things got really fun.
Fëanor: *stalking the city with purpose; ignoring the startled glances and upset citizens he leaves in his wake*
