Nyellaiwe: welcome to the guard. I'm on your patrol shift *holds out a hand* nice to have someone else to compete with for shortest guard

Nuala: *shakes her hand* Is that something we get to hit other, tall people for bringing up?


Nyellaiwe: Nooo. I got my first reprimand for that. But, it means I've got tips for you for taking down elves.

Nuala: Go for the knees?

Nyellaiwe: or get above them. If you can climb something and jump, that takes them by surprise

Nuala: *makes a mental note*

Kak: *glides into the changeroom with his little silver paper badge on his back*

Nyellaiwe: I thought guards usually had dogs

Kak: *wounded look*

Nuala: Dogs can't fly.

Kak: *hops onto Nuala's shoulder* dogs are useless.

Nyellaiwe: oh, they have their uses. How's your smelling?

Kak: *irritate fluff* I smell FINE

Nuala: *grins* I don't think that's the kind of smelling she means.

Kak: *tilts his head*

Nyellaiwe: it's okay. Just keep your eyes out

Nuala: *just pets him&

Kak: *happybird*

Nyellaiwe: sorry about your shop. I heard the whole story.

Nuala: I'll rebuild it. The horsemen can't stop me from making a place for myself here.

Nyellaiwe: not surprised they did that. I mean, some are fine. The two Theos are nice enough boys, but some of 'em I wouldn't want to be in a room alone with because I might lose my job for giving them a cut.

Nuala: What have they got against you?

Nyellaiwe: *grins* I'm not Rohirric. That's all they really needed.

Nuala: That's true, though I feel they hate some more than others.

Nyellaiwe: wouldn't doubt it. Now, Theo *talking about TheoDRED* him I would have made a move on

Nuala: Really? The ginger twig?

Nyellaiwe: he's a sweetheart. It's a shame he quit

Nuala: Why did he?

Nyellaiwe: something about cleansing a thetan

Nyellaiwe: his father's still around, but he just got assigned to outdoor duty. You're his replacement

Nuala: *doesn't know what a thetan is; nods anyway* It's just as well. I'm not keen on being around them, only on doing work that pays.

Nyellaiwe: good enough.

Theoden: *comes in after doing festival patrol*

Nyellaiwe: Hey! I was just telling your replacement how much better she was going to be than you

Theoden: *fistshake, not looking down to really see Nuala and works on his armour*

Nuala: *realizes who it is and gets a sour look on her face*

Kak: *hissss*

Theoden: *looks down once his shirt's off* ...oh. Um. Hello.

Nuala: *grabs her helmet* I'd better go. Have duties to attend to.

Kak: that we will perform much better than you!
