I meet another patient
Okay, they're finally not watching me. Time to make my move. These robes they put me in are infinitely better than the sack I was using earlier, not that I'll thank them.
Melkor: *padding through the halls of the house of healing, finally strong enough to leave his bed and unsupervised enough to do so* I should escape. I should run.
Arakano: *has been working on walking around a bit. Feels stronger with the blood Turgon has given him*
Melkor: *sees an elf, Arakano, and gives an angry shriek, diving behind a piece of furniture*
Arakano: *sees the child... the human child* Hello? Are you afraid of something?
Melkor: *considers shrieking he fears nothing, but stays silent in the hopes the elf gets bored and leaves*
Melkor: *still not convinced they won't see through this new body and kick him to death*
Arakano: smiles What is your name? Are you here because you are sick?
Melkor: *realizes he's not going to go away* I'm fine! Leave me, elf!
Arakano: *thinks that mortal children are weird* Are you afraid of Elves? I can call someone to take you back to your bed.
Melkor: I am not going to bed. I am leaving this infernal building. *stands up, head barely over the back of the chair and glaring*
Arakano: *feels tired so he sits back on his bed* Why do you want to leave? Are you afraid to die?
Melkor: *panicked noise, thinks Arakano KNOWS*
Arakano: *worries* Why don't you come here and keep me company? I also wanted to escape, you know? Nobody here will harm you. This is a place for second chances.
Melkor: ha! *but peeks out, is totally lost in the house and the five year old part of him IS afraid and wants to be near someone*
Arakano: *cautious and trying not to spook her* I was... sick, but I came here to be healed and reunited with my brothers. Maybe you cam here for a reason too? *has been sketching* Look, I have paper and crayons. Do you want to paint something?
Melkor: *eyes light up at the craft supplies and comes completely out of hiding* ...I suppose I could
Arakano: *smiles* You can sit there. *he would read her a book if he had one for children, but thinks painting will relax her*
Melkor: *sneaks forward, making sure to keep out of hands reach just in case and takes the supplies* I was brought here against my will and there will be a reckoning
Arakano: *Stays in bed, too tired to move anyway* Whatever you fear, Turgon will protect you. He is my brother.
Melkor: Oh, I think there's people he wouldn't protect. *drawing little stick orcs*
Arakano: *looks at her drawing and grows concerned thinking that Orcs killed her family* Then I can protect you, once I'm out of here, that is.
Melkor: ...what?
Arakano: I said that I can protect you, but I suppose that once you are out of here thy will find your parents. Everything will be all right.
Melkor: I have no parents
Arakano: poor child I am sorry. I am sure they will find parents for you then. Would you like to have a mom and a dad?
Melkor: how abhorrent, a grown human to control me. *gives the orcs bloody weapons, the drawings incredibly childlike*
Melkor: why are you concerned? *adds some flowers*
Arakano: *wonders if all the children of Men speak like this* Because you are a small child. Nobody should be alone. Those flowers are beautiful...
Melkor: pah. It needed colours to balance. *little pleased spark inside at the praise*
Melkor: *can't hide the pleased look on his face*
Arakano: *wants to pat her head, but decides against it* You are very good at this! Do you want some candy?
Melkor: ...candy? *at the side of Arakano's bed instantly*
Melkor: *had a bit of sugar early on after arriving and found it enchanting*
Arakano: *has been making a sketch of her, but sets it aside and gives her a small bag of candy* Now promise me you will try to save a few for tomorrow. If you do, I will give you more.
Melkor: ...hrrrrm. *weighing 'EAT IT ALL' with 'More in future'*
Melkor: *eats a bit now though*
Melkor: *does actually look rather malnourished, still in the being fixed up by Eowyn stage*
Arakano: Good. *finishes the sketch* Look, this is you.
Melkor: *looks and all good mood vanishes with a shriek of rage and runs away*
Arakano: *confused* What a strange girl. She took the candy with her, though...
HOW DARE HE DRAW ME LIKE THAT! I am no small helpless child! I am Melkor! I am powerful! I am feared!
*stomping and shrieking in the middle of the halls, still lost and hits a wall, hurting her hand and dropping the candy*
I will not be trapped like this! I will regain my power and turn this city to rubble!
*stops, over-exerted and curls up on the ground, crying*
