The one where I flirt and plot to have some fun
I went to visit Lio with the intention of getting those damned spies called off. I left with plans for a night on the town. I have a feeling it's going to be memorable.
Celegorm: *walks up to the guard house and pokes his head inside* Hey! Anyone home?
Ecthelion: Yes, in here! *in his office*
Celegorm: *walks round the corner and into Lio's office* Hi! I haven't seen you in a while, and I have a couple of questions.
Ecthelion: Hello! Yes, how is it going? Are you all settled in? Working with the hunters? *gestures to a chair* I'll be glad to answer any questions I can.
Celegorm: I'm settled in as well as can be expected, and Huan loves it. Lots of exciting things to sniff and dig up. Actually, the question I had was about the hunters. They haven't actually been out hunting yet, or not that I can tell. I wondered how difficult it was to organize a party to go. I know my cousin loses his mind if anyone wanders outside the walls without a plan.
Ecthelion: Hmm. Shouldn't be too difficult. I can clear it with Turu. Do you have a party in mind? I just would need to give him the names.
Celegorm: Not really. A new arrival, Elladan, expressed some interest. And then there are the guards that you have following me...I'm sure they'd all love to go. *leans forward and grins*
Ecthelion: *rueful smile* Yes... they wouldn't mind, I'm sure. About that...
Celegorm: *rests his chin on his hands and raises an eyebrow* Yes. About that. The redhead really does not need to be on spy duty. I picked him out within the first 10 minutes. The others were a bit more challenging. I take it Turgon put you up to it.
Ecthelion: Well, it was about the silmaril, at first. When we knew you had it, but that was all. I did call Theo off, but yes, it's time to call the others off too.
Celegorm: *ignores the silm comment* That would be nice. After all, where can I go? It's not like I can run away from here and disappear into the night. Not with father and my brothers here. You're stuck with me. *grins*
Ecthelion: *grins back* Well, it would be a little hard for you to leave...
Celegorm: Right, so no worries. Back to the hunting party. Hey...would you want to go? Just shoot at a few bucks, blow off some steam. It's fun.
Ecthelion: *considers* You know... that DOES sound fun... I've been so busy. I could use a break.
Celegorm: *gleam in his eye* Great! Let's do it. Where is the best place to go? I hear there are some great areas just south of the city.
Ecthelion: Yes, in the south. Also in the foothills, there's a lot of deer.
Celegorm: Then get your arrows sharpened. We'll head out this weekend. *leans back in his chair, crosses his hands behind his head* So what do you do for fun in this place? Besides hunt, I mean.
Ecthelion: *sighs* It's been so busy with all the new arrivals, I haven't had any fun in months. Turu and I go out to dinner sometimes.
Celegorm: *scrunches his nose* Dinner with Turgon sounds as much fun as an ingrown toenail. Are there any taverns or...anything else? Maybe a spot with a friendly game of poker or where an Elf can find some other sort of fun?
Ecthelion: *laughs* It's hardly that bad! And yes. There are quite a few taverns off the main square. The Drunken Maia's one of the best. And there's the House of Satari, if that holds any interest for you.
Celegorm: I've been so busy with dogs and brothers and daughters of maia that I haven't had any time to explore. Tell me more about this Satari place.
Ecthelion: Female companionship. Of all kinds. Male too. Whichever interests you.
Celegorm: Oh. Well. Turgon's more progressive than I gave him credit for. *eyes Lio* Have you been?
Ecthelion: *shakes his head* Actually, no. Like I said, I've been very busy.
Celegorm: That's a damned shame. I was going to ask you for a recommendation. *grins* Maybe we should go hunting there instead of outside the city. What's your preference? Bucks or does?
Ecthelion: *grins* A little of each...
Celegorm: I never would have guessed. Variety is the spice of life, though, and one can't ever have enough of that. So...what time do you get off tonight? Off work, I mean. *grins*
Ecthelion: *Celegorm is trouble, but fun* I'm done at 6 tonight.
Celegorm: *glances outside, sees that it's still daylight, then leans forward* Then...what do you say to a night out on the town? You can show me around and I can show you a bit of fun...or at least give it a really good try.
Ecthelion: *oh, why the hell not?* Sure, that sounds good! I should probably change after work, so I'm not out in my guard uniform... I'll meet you at the Drunken Maia, say around seven?
Celegorm: Seven it is. *stands and gives Lio a wink* We'll start off there and see where the night takes us. I'm looking forward to it!
Ecthelion: *actually is too* Great. See you then.
Celegorm: *walks up to the guard house and pokes his head inside* Hey! Anyone home?
