Theo: *wondering if this is meant to be a punishment for failing at trailing duty as he cheerfully shovels and listens to the breathing and noises of the horses*

Luthien: *busily exploring the vast hidden city, deciding on a whim to visit the stables and see the horses. She hums a jaunty tune (one that Daeron had written for her) as she pokes her head in and looks around, not noticing Theo at first*

I was sitting calmly in Celegorm's garden...

Grima: *overheard at work the strange conversation between 'Loras' and Celegorm, and decided to follow him today*

Caranthir: *is sitting outside Celegorm's house, thinking of the meeting with Turgon. He still fels a bit hurt because Fëanor didn't tell him about the Silmaril...*

Grima: why, Loras, this isn't your home, is it? *looks up at the well-appointed house that Turgon gave Celegorm to shut him up* That's a bit much for a scribe.

Caranthir: *starts a bit, then frowns* No, this is not my house. I am just visiting a friend. *comes out of Celegorm's garden* Now you follow the scribes around?

When last seen, I'd decided to start screaming and kicking my feet, because that solves problems.

It helps to have immense power behind the tantrum, I'll admit.

Melkor: *stopped his tantrum when he heard a healer come and scrambles for the nearest hiding place, under a couch, unaware one little leg is sticking out*

Eowyn: *is looking for her* Child?
In which Eowyn isn't bad, for a human captor )

I will admit that perhaps my time in the city of Gondolin has not gone... well, but it shouldn't be to the point that I need held in someone's home as some sort of child. Now that I know the elves cannot see me for what I truly am, I should be able to eke out my own existence.

But Eowyn does seem determined and... she's not bad.

I had the guards that managed to capture it bring it to my office in a cage. I'm calling it Idril2 for now. I measured it with my re-acquired* sword, it's three feet long.

Oh, also, I ran into two new Feanorians today and I'm feeling a bit stressed but watching this thing tear into apples is cheering me up, at least.

For those of you just tuning in, that means of Feanor's spawn, there is only Curufin and the twins remaining.

Caranthir and Maedhros... I just feel sorry for them. I know what they can do, but they're innocent and they seem to feel the weight of the future/past on their shoulders. I was prepared to tear into Caranthir when I went to his apartment and couldn't bring myself to do it when I saw how young he was. As for Maedhros, seeing him as he was made me remember when I actually rather liked him. And for Fingon's sake, I'll stay on good terms with his favourite person.

Celegorm? I told Luthien he was planning to go on a hunting trip with our grandson.

I have no idea what to think about Maglor yet. I'm done dealing with that side of the family for now, I need to see Arakano tomorrow to see how he's faring at the House of Healing. I think I'll drag Fingon along. He's been giving me good updates on his progress of preparing for the winter festival, so that's something that delegated well.

*One of the downsides of going from warrior king to bureaucratic king is that sometimes you discover you were using your sword to hold notes for you.
