In which I finally get my wish
I have been working all day along with Alagoss, the Elf healer. I know about Elven patients too, but there are so many new things that it has been exhausting to put myself up to date.
Alagoss: Elladan, you do look tired. Maybe it's time to go home.
Elladan: *smiles wistfully* Yes, home. *thinks that he will never adapt to Gondolin*
Alagoss: Is something wrong? I have been watching you, both at the Humans' ward and here. You only work and work, and that's not a proper life. You need to go out and have fun.
Elladan: *looks at Alagoss* Maybe you are right. I should try to adapt to living here.
Alagoss: *smiles* I have been working too much too. Come with me, Elladan. We can have a drink at the Drunken Maia. Have you been there?
Elladan: *grins* I have. Let's go.
They walk together outside the House of Healing, speaking about horses and the life on Aman. It's snowing again, and Elladan shivers a bit. Alagoss places an arm around his shoulders to keep him warm.
Alagoss: That cloak is too thin...
Elladan: I thought there was never snow in Gondolin.
Alagoss: That was Imladris. It's snowing more than usual, though. Come, let's...
The sky clears up and suddenly they are not walking on snow or inside the walls of a city. They are on a road that they both know well. Elladan looks around, still confused, until a familiar mental touch fills his mind.
Elladan: *Elrohir!*
Alagoss: We are back...
Elladan: It seems so... Come with me! I want you to meet my twin.
Alagoss: *worried* I do hope that Arakano continues the treatment now than I'm gone. My assistants can take care of it. I told them what to do.
Elladan: *sympathetic look* I am sure that he will be all right. You saved him, Alagoss. Now you get come back and see your family again. *stops, realizing that Arakano is dead in this timeline* I am sorry. I know... *pauses, stops walking* Alagoss, Arakano is no longer in the Halls of Mandos but living in Tirion. He is out!
Alagoss smiles, relieved, and together they head to Tirion. As they walk together, speaking of healing and horse races, they slowly forget everything that happened to them in Gondolin.
(They are out of the game, and won't remember anything, which makes it easier in Elladan's case if someone wants to play him. Alagoss is off limits as he is my character) :)
