In which I speak with Grandfather...
Turgon wanted to know what happened when I returned to Tirion, but I couldn't answer something that would have been important to explain the city's time problem...
Elladan: *has been checking the apartments and likes them. They are small, but at least he will have some privacy. While in Imladris, he was never in his parents' house for long anyway. Now he needs to talk to Turgon. Sees Gelgannel* Hello, Gelgannel. Is Grandfather there? He wanted to speak with me.
Gelgannel: He is. Speak quietly, he's given himself a hangover. *pages Turgon to let him know his grandson is here*
Turgon: Send him in.
Elladan: *raises an eyebrow* Will do. *enters* Hello, Grandfather. *looks at him* I can come back later if this is not a good time...
Turgon: It's fine, it's fine. *waves a hand, drinking water* I just overindulged.
Elladan: *smiles a bit* I'm glad you had fun. It can't be easy to be the king all the time. I came because you wanted me to tell you what I saw when I was back.
Turgon: *nods, and gestures to a seat* Tell me. I want to see how the changes ripple out.
Elladan: *takes a seat* There is not much to say, actually. I was walking with Alagoss, and it was snowing and suddenly we were not in Gondolin but on the road to Tirion. I sensed my twin at once, and he told me that Arakano was there with him. I don't know if out of the Halls, or simply there. I don't know if his coming here changed his fate or if he died later... I didn't ask because I hoped to know in a few days, but then I was back here.
Turgon: *little nod* I'll have to ponder this.
Elladan: Of course. I have something else to tell you, Grandfather. I am leaving. I need a place of my own, and Ecthelion showed me the new apartments. I will be moving there this afternoon. I am grateful, you gave me a place to live when I came, but I need to find my own way now.
Turgon: *nods again* If that's what you need. You're welcome back at the palace if you need it.
Elladan: *smiles* Thank you, Grandfather. I will come back to visit you. Good-bye, then.
Turgon: Good. And be safe on your hunting trip.
Elladan: *nods* I will be careful.
So now maybe I should drop by the Healing House and tell them that Alagoss might not be coming back...
