Turgon: *fumbling around his rooms trying to get his robes on* need... longer... arms!

Fingon: *pokes head in* Need some help there?

Turgon: yes. Please.

Fingon: *laughs and goes to free him from a tangle and sort them*

Turgon: these things are ridiculous. I lost my hooks for doing up the back and Gelgannel's gone off on some errand. *pitiful look at his brother*

Fingon: I cann get that sure. *laughs* They are a little...over the top

Turgon: A king must look ~majestic~. *picks up his crown*

Fingon: I suppose so, yes *grins* Still

Turgon: I saw an outfit I liked on one of the new arrivals, but I was told that it was not actually appropriate for a king. Something called 'biker leather'

Fingon: Biker leather? Oh I'm intrigued

Turgon: it had metal studs. I liked it

Fingon: Oh really? So like an armor?

Turgon: yes, but in clothing. And there were other embellishments. I couldn't read the language, however. Okay, is it done up in the back?

Fingon: Just about *finishes the last hook* There we are

Turgon: *turns around, arms out* Do I look like I'm welcoming winter or just floofy?

Fingon: *squints at him a bit* Hmm...more welcoming I THINK

Turgon: Good enough. *runs his fingers through his hair and sets his crown on* Time to preside. Is that what you're wearing?

Fingon: Most of it. Do you like it?

Turgon: we look increasingly out of place

Fingon: We do don't we? think they'll figure us out?

Turgon: possibly. Let's go preside, brother

I couldn't get down from that stage soon enough with the way the rain's coming down. At least the umbrella salesmen are doing swift business. *tugs robes around tighter and tries not to shiver*

I've still got business out here before I can go in where it's nice and warm. And the kingdom really doesn't need to see how the cold makes me feel so... out of sorts. Which is why I've been ignoring Gelgannel's attempts to bundle me up. Brave face and all that.

I don't know where Fingon's gone off to. I never did ask why he picked out that particular guard, either. I suppose I could go ask the guard...

*looks up, rain falling on his face* At least it's just rain and no thunder or lightning. Just wish it was with spring or summer, so it would be warm.

I'm being king. But I think that was the last person to talk to me and since both my brothers are absent, let's get in a tent. Your armour must be fun all wet.

*noting there's no warmth to be gotten by cuddling up to a man in armour and follows Lio into a tent* At least it's not snow, right?

*waves a hand for a cup of wine*

Still, it's pretty cold. I hope they have mulled wine.

I'll be easy to find during the ball because I'll be the disguised person sneezing constantly.

*laughs* Okay, let's go back to the palace and get you dry clothes.

I shouldn't have given Gel the night off. Otherwise I'd already be bundled into something warm and waterproof. Your guards don't need supervised? And will you be wanting some clothes at the palace?

My guards are a very well organized bunch. They all know their assignments. And yes, I will, thanks.

Put you in my pajamas and we can have a 'sleepover'. I'm sorry if any of them fall over and die from the weather. It looked so nice this morning.

They're also a hearty bunch. Don't worry about it. Come on, I'll get my mulled wine back at the palace.

I'll help. *kicks off the last of the leggings and comes to start unhooking Lio's armour*

Thanks. There's just so much. It took me about an hour to get it all on.

I sometimes wonder if we've gone a little overboard with our show outfits. My robes are ridiculous, and that's just the winter festival ones. *gets one of the shoulders off the armour* And now for the left one...

It's possible. The actual fighting armor is much easier than this ceremonial stuff. But hey, we only put it on once in a while.

*gets the breastplate off* Any of this getting easier or am I going to be stripping you entirely?

*is taking of the wrist braces* I can do the rest if you're too tired. *grins*

No, no, this is warming me up. *begins working on the under armour and the legs*

*hears a knock* Oh, I bet that's the wine. Go get it and I'll work on this.

*grabs a blanket to wrap around himself and goes to fetch the drinks* Thank you, thank you. *shuts the door and sets the wine on the table by the bed and flops down on his back*

I should still be out there. But Fingon's got everything well in hand.

*finally gets all the armor off* Will you have someone bring that back to the Guard House tomorrow for me?

*takes his wine and sips* Mmm, good. And don't worry. We'll go to the festival tomorrow, and the ball is tomorrow night. You've still got lots of time to put in appearances.

Mm. Yeah. Remember, I get a dance with you. *stretches out his arms and relaxes into bed, closing his eyes*

clothes are in the closet. Obviously. *pulls blanket over him*
