(no subject)

It's been so busy here at work lately. Seems like a lot of people are having trouble sleeping. I wonder what's going on.

Elladan: *has to go to see one last person before he returns to the House of Guards. After talking to the Elven Healers about Alagoss, he looks for Eowyn* Greetings, Lady Eowyn.
Eowyn: *looks up* Lord Elladan! How nice to see you!
Elladan *smiles*: It's nice to see you too, Eowyn. Can I call you by name?
Eowyn: Of course! *gestures to a chair* Sit, and let me know what I can do for you.

Elladan: Thank you. *takes a seat* I was wondering if I could work on call instead of full time. I would still help you train Human healers, but I want to join the Guard.
Eowyn: *nods* That will be fine. *smiles* Any help we can have is welcome.
Elladan: Good. I think I am calmer now. I went back to Tirion and saw my twin.
Eowyn: You did? That is fascinating! Tell me what happened? Did you see your father?
Elladan: Yes, I saw him, and though he said nothing specific, I believe he knew what had happened to me. I forgot all that happened here shortly after I arrived in Tirion...
Eowyn: Oh, and how did you get back?
Elladan: I went to sleep and woke up in Grandfather's castle... I remembered everything... No, actually my memory is failing a bit. I told Maglor the same story about Celegorm twice.
Eowyn: *nods* That's interesting... I wonder how the memory issue works.
Elladan: I'm a little worried.
Eowyn: *nods* I can see why.
Elladan: It makes sense that I could not remember anything once in Tirion. It was the same for Alagoss, I think. But it is still worrisome. This thing that brings people into the city... It could harm them too.
Eowyn: *nods* That... hmm. I hadn't thought of that, but you could definitely be on to something.
Elladan: Just promise me, if I start to repeat things, tell me?
Eowyn: *smiles comfortingly* I will, of course.
Elladan: *smiles* Thank you. I have something else to speak about. I'm not certain because I could not remember being here, but Arakano was in the city. I met him. I don't know if he was out of the Halls or if his fate changed. It's mere speculation, but what do you think?
Eowyn: Now that is a very good question! I've wondered how that works... do Elves just come and go from the Halls, if they're called here? I was thinking that being here, changes everyone courses, if that makes sense?
Elladan: It does. Arakano was in the Halls because he died, but when he came here Alagoss saved him, so will he die later or sail back? Are we in what some books call a parallel world, and there are other versions of ourselves still living our lives?
Eowyn: *nods, quite likes this idea* That is what I think, myself. That the time changed, that those of us who are here can do something different, that we're not tied to other versions of histroy.
Elladan: So maybe Grandfather won't die soon, or Fëanor... *happy to have found someone who likes to speak about this* What about your current life, Eowyn? Are you comfortable with it?
Eowyn: *nods* Yes, that's what I thing - all of them could have a different path. *considers* I ... miss my home and family very much. But I feel like I should make a good life for myself here.
Elladan: You are stronger than I was when I came here first. Maybe you will return one day and see them again.
Eowyn: *wistful* I hope to. Very much.
Elladan: Surely you will. I believe I returned because I had something to do here. Maybe it's the same with you? Like Alagoss, who saved Arakano and healed that wound? Maybe that's why we are here.
Eowyn: *thoughtful* I like that idea. Perhaps that IS it.
Elladan: Perhaps. If not, why would Father seem to know? I can't say much more about this, but I believe he knew I was coming back here.
Eowyn: I wish I knew why we are all being pulled here...
Elladan: I have made you feel sad...  I am sorry. It's just easy to speak with you about certain things.
Eowyn: *pats his hand* No, it's fine. I'm glad to talk to you about this. I don't know anyone else interested in discussing.
Elladan: Then we can discuss this again and try to understand the puzzle, but for now maybe I should help you and do my share of work. *smiles*
Eowyn: *smiles back* Yes. Come with me. I have patients you can see.
Elladan: *smiles and follows her*

So nice to have him here to talk to. And to help out!
