Dinner, lunch, breakfast.
This week really kind of sucks...
Finrod: *brings coffees and muffins to work*
Ecthelion: *nibbles a muffin*
Finrod: I take it last night didn't go well.
Ecthelion: *groans and drinks the coffee* No, no witnesses beyond Arakáno.
Finrod: But no body found yet either...
Ecthelion: No, and I'm worried when that will turn up.
Finrod: *nods* I hear some of the guards think it is a Vanya behind it all...
Ecthelion: *frowns* That's just rumors.
Finrod: I know that. I was more thinking of whether it might be worth noting on the file that blonde hair is not limited to the Vanyar. So as not to accidentally rule out any suspects.
Ecthelion: *nods* I'll make sure of that.
Finrod: You look tired.
Ecthelion: I am. Didn't get much sleep last night, except for a couple of hours on Turu's couch, after the excitement died down.
Finrod: What's on your agenda today?
Ecthelion: Going over the evidence from last night, and the interviews that the guards did.
Finrod: Let me help you.
Ecthelion: Oh, that would be great. Can you get the evidence lists and see what's new, and what we can compare to the old stuff?
Finrod: Yes. Do you have one of those...oh what is it...a whiteboard?
Ecthelion: *gestures* In that room...
Finrod: *gets a board and pens, and the case files for all three cases so far*
Ecthelion: *watches him*
Finrod: *lays it all out* Here. I'll write. You look like you might start using strange letters.
Ecthelion: *laughs* Am I that bad?
Finrod: *grins* Yes.
Ecthelion: Oh pssh. *but looking closely at the all details on the board*
Finrod: *writes in a 'location of body' line under case 2* Different alley, yes?
Ecthelion: Yes.
Finrod: *writes that in* And then the attack in a third location.
Ecthelion: And we noticed evidence of a chemical smell there - maybe from the torches, maybe that they were drugging the victims.
Finrod: *noting* Do you think that blood was a rabbit trail?
Ecthelion: It might be... *rubs his head, thinking* Although I am not sure they care that much about being careful... they did drop a torch.
Finrod: Just that it came to a dead end. *shrugs*
Ecthelion: Yeah, and Angwen said in her report they had no luck with the door-to-door search.
Finrod: This is a mess.
Ecthelion: *groans* Tell me about it. We just need a witness. One who isn't drugged.
Finrod: Or a possible motive.
Ecthelion: Well, that too, but harder to pin down. *sighs* At least we know they're not just targeting humans and dwarves. I mean, I don't want elves in danger, but it's good to know.
Finrod: *sips his coffee* Mmm.
Ecthelion: Thanks for organizing. You really help.
Finrod: You're welcome.
Before the previous two posts, obviously.
