I really have to work on my recipes, so I'll have a good choice when the restaurant opens.


Maedhros: *trying something new for dinner, chicken cacciatore; hopes Maglor's hungry when he gets home*
Maglor: *comes home, sniffing appreciatively* Hey!
Maedhros: Hey! *smiles* I hope you are hungry, there's lots.
Maglor: Oh good. I...invited Finrod.



Maedhros: Well, good thing I made this then! *adds another place to the table* I haven't seen him yet, so this will be nice.
Maglor: You haven't? Apparently he's been here awhile, but I haven't seen much of him either. *shrugs, snitching a bite of food*
Maedhros: I've been busy. >.>
Maglor: *smirks*
Maedhros: *light smack*
Maglor: Hey, hey! I said nothing.
Maedhros: I know what you were thinking! But i meant between the House of History and learning to cook...
Maglor: Of course, of course!
Maedhros: *puts together the rest of the meal* So no smirking.
Maglor: Sorry. *not really* Anyway, he should be along soon!
Maedhros: Good, good. He can tell me what he thinks of the meal...
Maglor: What is it tonight?
Maedhros: It's called chicken cacciatore. It's Italian. We'll have it with spaghetti and salad and some bread.
Maglor: Sounds delicious.
Finrod: *knocks*
Maedhros: Could you let him in? *is in the middle of cooking*
Maglor: Sure. *lets Finrod in*
Finrod: Hello. I've brought you some wine... *holds up a bottle*
Maedhros: Thank you! And good to see you, Finderato!
Finrod: You too. Whatever you're cooking smells wonderful.
Maedhros: Thank you! *takes the wine from him* I'll open this and you and Kano sit down, and I'll serve.
Finrod: *takes a seat*
Maglor: *sits*
Maedhros: *pours the wine for everyone and serves the food, then sits with them to eat*
Finrod: Oh, this is good!
Maedhros: *tastes, considering* Yes, I think I got this one right...
Maglor: *agrees* It's fantastic.
Maedhros: Good, thank you. I'll put this on the menu... *whoops, didn't mean to mention the restaurant yet*
Finrod: Menu for what? *curious*
Maedhros: Oh... ah... I think... I plan to open a restaurant. *grins* Kano's been my guinea pig so far.
Finrod: Really? Well, if all your meals are as good as this...
Maedhros: I've been trying all kinds of new things... so I think I've got a good range of dishes...
Maglor: Have you got a location yet?
Maedhros: Not yet. Finde and I were going to talk to Turukano about one...
Finrod: You'll have to let me know when you open!
Maedhros: I will! We're going to have a bar too, so I hope to get a lot of business.... *takes a sip of wine* I wanted to try something different.
Maglor: We get family discounts, right? *teasing*
Maedhros: *laughs* With the size of our family, I'll never make any money.
Maglor: Oh right, true.
Maedhros: But for you two, I'll consider it. *joking*
Maglor: Oh good! Taste-testers' discount!
Maedhros: Exactly!
Finrod: *smiles* I'd take that.
Maedhros: So what about you, Finderato? What have you been doing since arriving in the city?
Finrod: Mostly working with Ecthelion, on the cases and such...
Maedhros: *frowns* Oh yes, I've heard about the murders...
Maglor: *nods* Any progress?
Finrod: *admits* Not much...
Maedhros: I'm just glad they haven't arrested Father... *wryly*
Maglor: True.
Maedhros: Luckily he seems to be keeping himself busy in non-murderous ways.
Finrod: That's...good...
Maedhros: ... at least I hope.
Finrod: Anyway. I probably shouldn't talk much about it.
Maedhros: I suppose not. But I hope you catch the murder soon.
Finrod: *nods* So do we all.
Maedhros: *gives them more food* At least that's an interesting job?
Finrod: It is that!
Maglor: *chats while they eat*
Maedhros: *pleased they're both enjoying!*
Maglor: That was excellent.
Finrod: *agrees*
Maedhros: Thanks. Finderato, you must come for dinner again. Next week? I'll have more recipes for you to test. *grins*
Finrod: Certainly! I look forward to it.

It was good to see Finderato, and I'm glad he liked the dinner. Now I just have to find another recipe to try for next time...
