Busy busy busy
King's working himself into a tizzy and apparently there's corpses all under my feet. Wonderful.
Gelgannel: *running around getting things organized for Turgon's 'I'm so glad you're not dead Finrod, but Lio is kinda close to it so I can't focus on you right now' welcome*
Idril: *heard that Finrod was back safe and going up to find them to congratulate, and also to check on uncle Lio, and runs into Gel as he rushes around a corner, almost falling* Ack!
Gelgannel: *drops his clipboard and catches Idril* princess!
Idril: *grabs his shoulders to steady herself, then lets go of him and brushes her dress down* Why are you in such a hurry you're running around corners?
Gelgannel: king's work, I'm afraid. *bends down to grab his clipboard* I'm sure you've heard about the captain of the guard. *trying to sound businesslike*
Idril: I heard, yes. How is he doing? I need to see him. And dad. And uncle Finrod
Gelgannel: well, I don't really know. I'm just organizing your father's schedule. I need to get down to the blacksmith's guild and calm down Rog
Gelgannel: he's angry that your father's not coming to see him *again*
Idril: Why?
Gelgannel: well, he wants to see the captain today
Idril: So, what does that have to do with dad?
Gelgannel: no, no. Your father wants to see the captain and he's not seeing Rog. Look, come with me and I'll give you his schedule, I have a feeling you'd like to know it
Idril: *sighs* Okay. *picks up his clipboard and hands it over*
Gelgannel: *walks with her out of the palace* I'm very tired of the heads of all the houses in this city refusing to deal with lowly messengers when your father has to cancel. The phone system can't come online soon enough
Idril: You must be really busy...
Gelgannel: I'm always busy. They just make me busier.
Idril: That's what I meant. How's dad doing? He's been holed up so long now, I'm worried about him.
Gelgannel: well, your father's stressed, obviously, and was working himself into a circle over what to deal with first. That's why I'm organizing things now so he can just see his friend and cousin
Idril: *nods* Okay. So tell me how I can help, then.
Gelgannel: well, he's torn between focusing on Finrod of Lio, so if you could go to Finrod and I can tell him that he's covered for now?
Idril: Yeah, I can do that. Where is he, in his rooms?
Gelgannel: He should be. *approaching the blacksmith guild*
Idril: okay. *tosses her hair over her shoulder* Tell dad I'm taking care of it.
Gelgannel: thanks *smiles at her* that's a load off
Idril: No worries. And you should take a breather, too
Gelgannel: I will when I can, princess. I've got to go play messenger now. *bows to her*
Idril: *slight nod and goes off*

I... did. For a while. When people started popping up in my city without rhyme or reason, I hid away. I mean, all those humans and other races! I'm getting better, though, and coming out regularly. I even made a human friend!

You're going to take a good, long rest now, right? No strenuous activity for a while?
