To sum up: Murderers massacred (ew), only the captain seriously injured, Dred's fine, Dred's boyfriend is fine, my friends in the guard are fine, and I'm back exploring the city and getting paid for it.
Dagnir's been keeping me in his sights, but he's slipped off on his own little cat mission finally so it's time to go visit Feanor without fending off the fuzzy menace. He's been getting cranky whenever I go to Feanor's, I think he doesn't like the smell of the forge.
Theoden: *drops by with coffee* Your giant wall o' swords is gone, I see
Fëanor: Has been for quite a while. I gave them to the guard.
Theoden: I have been way too busy lately, then. *sits and offers Feanor a cup*
Fëanor: *takes it* Thanks. Well, murders and so on.
Theoden: yes. All done with that. Well, they're searching for stragglers, but I'm not assigned to that. *stretches out his legs, toeing off his boots*
Fëanor: What ARE you being assigned to?
Theoden: I'm back on regular patrol. It's fun, I get to see the whole city and I meet a lot of newcomers
Fëanor: *nods* That sounds like it suits you.
Theoden: I'm good at walking and looking at things. I'm a master of it
Fëanor: *grins* It's good to have a skill.
Theoden: I have other ones, but trusting nature isn't really an employable one. *tugs Feanor over closer to kiss* I need to thank you properly for rescuing me
Fëanor: You don't need to thank me!
Theoden: that was a come on. Just so you know
Fëanor: *laughs* Oh, of course.
Theoden: this is a little like fumbling in the dark
Fëanor: I can turn off the light... *wicked grin and kisses Theo*
Theoden: *kisses back* That wouldn't be so bad. But better in your bedroom.
Fëanor: Well, let's move there. *leads Theo out of the workshop, locking the door behind them*
Theoden: so you managed to go through all that without getting injured?
Fëanor: Just a few scratches...
Theoden: nothing too bad? *hands trailing down Feanor's sides as if to check*
Fëanor: You can examine me thoroughly.
Theoden: good. Just to reassure myself
Fëanor: I think that's good.
Theoden: you're an old man, you need someone to watch out for you
Fëanor: *laughing* Old man?
Theoden: *teasing* terribly old.
Fëanor: Well, I suppose that's true.
Theoden: I'm here to bring vigor and excitement of the non-battle kind
Fëanor: *grins* Sounds good to me! *tugs Theo off to the bedroom*
