Slowly improving
This recovery is taking sooooo long. I'm enjoying Celegorm's company, but oh I am ready to get out of the house.
Ecthelion: *paces around the house, bored*
Celegorm: *grins and shakes his head* You're going to wear a hole in the floor if you keep going round in circles. How about we take a walk? The weather is starting to warm up.
Ecthelion: *embarrassed grin* Oh could we? I'm dying to get out of the house. I mean, beyond the garden.
Celegorm: Of course. You're clearly feeling up to it and you certainly look well. *grins and kisses his cheek* Quite well, actually.
Ecthelion: *grins* I'm glad I meet approval!
Celegorm: *looks him up and down* And then some. *opens the door and holds it for Lio*
Ecthelion: Careful, you might tempt me to stay home for some ... alternate exercise. *but hurries out the door*
Celegorm: *laughs and swats at his butt* We'll save that for later...cool down after the walk. *shuts door behind him*
Ecthelion: *grins* Oh good idea. *starts walking towards the nearest fountain*
Celegorm: *walks next to him* Turu has already called me about a hunt for the spring feast. I think I'll grab some others and head out tomorrow morning, just before first light.
Ecthelion: *nods* Good idea. *thoughtful* I could come along!
Celegorm: *frowns* Are you sure you are feeling well enough for a hunt? It will require being out of the city for several hours....
Ecthelion: *sighs* Probably not. *stops to look at the fountain*
Celegorm: *squeezes his shoulder* I know it's hard, but you'll be back to your old self again soon. Back down in the sewers fighting off rats and other sorts of...gross things.
Ecthelion: *pleased the fountain is in good condition* I'd rather not do THAT again.
Celegorm: *chuckles* Well, maybe not that exactly, but other guardly stuff. They call you on that blasted phone enough as it is.
Ecthelion: *admits* I am curious about what is going on in my absence.
Celegorm: That's only natural, but I'm sure they are managing fine without you. Finny may be an uptight pain in the ass, but he's not completely useless.
Ecthelion: He's actually doing a good job, I think. At least based on what he's told me.
Celegorm: *grins* As if he'd tell you anything different. Actually, I think he's doing okay...all things considered.
Ecthelion: *nods, continues walking along the city streets* He mentioned that he asked you to hunt down the missing elves.
Celegorm: He did, yes. Kano and I have plans to do some tracking soon...maybe even after the hunt tomorrow.
Ecthelion: Mmm. Good. I'd like those murderers caught.
Celegorm: If anyone can find them, it would be me...I mean, not to brag, but I'm an excellent tracker. And Kano isn't bad either. *grins*
Ecthelion: *laughs* Yes, I've heard that about you. That you're excellent.
Celegorm: I must confess that the rumors are true. *leans close and whispers* And that's not all I'm good at.
Ecthelion: *feigns surprise* There are other things too?
Celegorm: *winks* I'll give you an in-depth demonstration once we get home.
Ecthelion: My, you do take very good care of me.
Celegorm: *drapes an arm round Lio's shoulders* Of course. That's why you like me so much.
Ecthelion: *presses against his side as they walk* Yes, that's one reason.
Celegorm: And I'm a good cook. That's two reasons. *pulls him closer as they walk*
Ecthelion: *speaks to each guard they see as they pass, casually, but listening for any details he should know*
Celegorm: *eyes each guard suspiciously, daring him to discuss work*
Guards: *very respectful, and slightly intimidated by Celegorm*
Ecthelion: *as they walk away from the guards* You are keeping me safe from work talk. *grins*
Celegorm: *slightly annoyed* I'm trying, but you seem bound and determined to dive into it head-first. It'll be there when you are well, I promise.
Ecthelion: *squeezes his hand* I know. Thank you. I meant it when I said you take very good care of me.
Celegorm: *grins* You're welcome. I'd do anything for you...
Ecthelion: *grins* Would you let me go to the Spring Festival, if I promise to take it easy?
Celegorm: Only if I can go with you. Someone has to keep you out of trouble.
Ecthelion: Yes, I do need watching. *laughs* Turu and I will need to spend a little time together, but other than that, I'm all yours.
Celegorm: *grumbles* I know. He's already called me. Something about you winning him a goldfish. I feel for that goldfish. It's a doomed creature in the hands of Turu.
Ecthelion: *laughs* Yes, that's what we do every year. Perhaps he'll have better luck with the goldfish though! He's been keeping his dog alive.
Celegorm: Yes, and I'm surprised. Idril must be helping him. Otherwise the poor pup would be living in Turu's desk drawer.
Ecthelion: Probably Aredhel's helping him too. She's sensible.
Celegorm: True. Except when she's running off with strange dark elves. I still worry that Eol will show up here one day and force me to commit another kinslaying, because I would if he ever dared to touch a hair on her head.
Ecthelion: *nods* Let's hope it doesn't come to that.
Celegorm: Indeed. *eager to change subject* I hear you may be giving a speech.
Ecthelion: At the festival?
Celegorm: *grins* Oh you didn't know? Surprise! Turu is just full of them.
Ecthelion: *groans* He hasn't told me yet! I suppose I'll have to prepare something.
Celegorm: Or you could just say no. Tell him that you're too tired to stand up for that long, or something. Or just tell him to go to hell. *grins, knowing that won't happen*
Ecthelion: *laughs* That could work!
Celegorm: *laughs, too* I can just see the look on his face. I'd commission a drawing if I knew someone who could capture it fast enough.
Ecthelion: You are wicked. *but amused; slides an arm around his waist*
Celegorm: I won't deny it. Yes, yes I am. *nuzzles Lio's ear* But you still like me.
Ecthelion: *happy sigh* Very much.
Celegorm: Then it's a good thing that I like you, too. A lot. In fact, why don't we head back to the house and I show you exactly how much I like you?
Ecthelion: *was just about to suggest that, as is getting a little tired from the walk* I think that's an excellent plan. You do have to show me all the things you're good at.
Celegorm: All of them? That could take a while. How much time do you have?
Ecthelion: *grins* As long as it takes.
Celegorm: Good, because I have all night. *steals a kiss*
Ecthelion: I expect a thorough demonstration of these many talents. *starts walking back*
Celegorm: And you'll get one. Very detailed and thorough. In fact, I'm open to repeating if you don't quite get it all the first time round.
Ecthelion: *pauses for a quick kiss* You'll have to, if it doesn't meet my high standards. *grins*
Celegorm: Yes, sir. *laces his fingers round the back of Lio's neck and kisses him deeply*
Ecthelion: *presses against him, breathless from the kiss* You'll find I can be quite strict....
Celegorm: I'm up to the challenge. *pulls Lio close so he can feel just how "up" he is to the challenge*
Ecthelion: *rather up for a challenge himself; smiles, thinking how happy he is with Celegorm, despite the long recovery*
Celegorm: *smiles and kisses him again* Come on. Let's go home.
That was a nice excursion, but it was good to get home. ;)
